Even off-topic maar wel belangrijk!
Mijn vader van 83 wil ons deze zomer bezoeken en met Sky Europ vliegen, maar dit hangt af van het feit of hij zijn hondje een Chi Chau (of zoiets) kan meenemen in het vliegtuig als handbagage, of moet het beestje in het laadruim?
Heeft iemand hier ervaring mee, ik kan het op de site niet vinden en het telefoonnumer dat op de site wordt vermeld werkt niet.

Dit staat bij de voorwaarden (Conditions of carriage):

10.8 Animals
10.8.1 The Carrier carries no animals with exception of dogs and cats. The animals must be at least 8
weeks old. The Carrier reserves the right to refuse carriage of dog or cat for example for capacity
reasons. Dogs and cats are carried at a charge according to the Carrier’s tariffs. Service dogs are
carried free of charge. The passenger must make a reservation for the carriage of cat or dog at the
time of making a reservation for his/her flight, otherwise the Carrier is entitled to refuse the carriage of
the animal with no further liabilities towards the passenger.

10.8.2

Dogs and cats are carried as checked baggage in a cargo space of the aircraft in a suitable box

(“box”) serving for such purpose and provided by the passenger on his/her own costs. The box in
which the animal is carried must be easily identifiable from the other baggage. Only one animal can be
placed in one box. The box must be in faultless condition, big enough to ensure that the animal does
not suffer and lockable in such a way that the transported animal is not able to open the box itself. The
box must be covered with the absorbent bedding and must have enough breathing holes. Boxes made
of welded mesh or wire mesh are not accepted for carriage. Passenger hereby acknowledges that the
transported animal will not be accessible to the passenger during the flight as well as it may not be
freed from the box during the flight for any time or reason. The animal must be clean, healthy,

harmless, odourless and not pregnant. Carrier does not provide the animals with water of other food.
The animal together with the box may not weight more than 32 kg.
10.8.3

Only service dogs may be carried in the cabin of the aircraft. The service dog must bear muzzle

and leash and its training certificate and other documents must be available.
10.8.4

Passenger is liable for all damages caused to the Carrier by the carried animal.

10.8.5

Carrier is not liable to the passenger for any damages caused to the carried animal if such

damage arose:
- as a consequence of breach of the passenger’s obligations under this clause 10.8 of
Conditions of Carriage (e.g. inappropriate box),
- as a consequence of bad medical state of the animal,
- as a consequence of action of the animal itself (e.g. the animal gets alarmed),
- as a consequence of natural circumstances (e.g. natural death).
10.8.6

Passenger is responsible for the medical state of the transported animal. Passenger is obliged

to ensure and obtain all the information, documents and permits necessary for departure or entry of
the animal to/from the country of departure, arrival or transit. Carrier is not liable for and may not be
held liable for refusal of the animal in the country of arrival or transit.
THE CARRIER DOES NOT CARRY ANY CATS AND DOGS TO OR FROM UNITED KINGDOM OF
GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND AND/OR IRISH REPUBLIC.

Bedankt voor de informatie. Wel jammer want mijn vader wil absoluut niet dat zijn hondje het bagageruim in gaat. Maar ja, ze geloven nooit dat Tungha een blindengeleidehond is.

Kun je niet veel beter gaan winkelen in winkelcentrum In de Bogaard? Lekker dicht bij huis.

Nou het moet wel te doen zijn. Vroeger ging ik ook wel eens 1 dag heen en weer naar Parijs met de bus. Leuk, maar wel vermoeiend. Met het vliegtuig heen en weer naar Praag lijkt me minder vermoeiend. Vlakbij het vliegveld zit een groot winkelcentrum, maar ik neem aan dat je daar niet voor komt en liever naar Praag Centrum gaat? Gewoon bus 119 pakken en bij de eindhalte op de metro stappen, die stopt bijv. bij Muzeum, maar ook bij het stadsplein. Reken er op dat je vanaf het vliegveld naar het centrum zo'n drie kwartier aan reistijd kwijt bent.

Met de metro/bus moet het lukken om binnen het uur in het centrum te staan. Is genoeg over geschrevenop het forum welke lijnen je dan moet hebben en anders vind je er hier nog het een en ander over.

Ik neem aan de vlucht van 8.40 heen en dan die van 19.10 terug.
Ja kan wel en lijkt me ook wel leuk om dat eens te doen.

Wij hebben het zelf eens gedaan met een dagje Londen, ging goed maar heel erg rustig op je gemak alles doen was er toen wel niet bij.
